PHYSIOTHERAPIST, LIFE COACH and NUTRITIONIST My name is Audrey Njoku and I graduated with Honors from my physiotherapy degree course with the University of Malta in 2004. Following this I set up a Wellness Programme in 2 elderly care homes and also worked in a number of fields in the public health service in Malta including Neurology (Adult and paediatric), Care of the Elderly and Mental health. In 2008 I moved to the UK with my amazingly supportive little family and worked within the NHS and private practices gaining expertise and knowledge in treating a vast number of conditions, including back pain, sports injuries and musculoskeletal injuries. In 2012 I decided to open my own clinic as more of a hobby rather than a business and by God's grace it turned out to be a success with many of my patients being referred by word of mouth. I also provide physiotherapy services in a number of homes for the elderly and engage in rehab either for aches, pains, falls and reduced mobility following hospital stay or illness. I have a passion for hands-on assessment and treatment and reflect this in my everyday practice. Thankfully my hard work usually pays off with excellent results reported by my patients, which is very important to me. Over the years I have undertaken numerous courses to improve an broaden my skills, covering unique treatment techniques that enable me to find and treat the source of the problem. As a result I love treating injuries such as back pain and chronic/complex conditions as it poses a fantastic challenge, the success rate of which is usually very high. I am passionate about what I do and always do my best with each patient to deliver the desired results, even if it means doing further research into a condition or seeking third party advice. In my career I was also fortunate in being able to gain a unique experience working as a specialised physiotherapist for people suffering from eating disorders. Here my interest in nutrition and relaxation were enhanced and lead to me undertaking various courses in nutrition and certified as a nutritionist, which allows me to pass on these skills to my clients as a unique service. Lockdown has also brought an interest in life coaching and after studying this I am thrilled to be offering this as a service to help clients reach their goal and overcome their limitations. I believe that everyone should have a life coach and that if everyone did have one, then the world would be a much better and happier place. You can find out more about it by clicking here. |
